Baltimore (WJZ) — The Baltimore Orioles took care of business against the Los Angeles Angels on Saturday night thanks to a three-run homer from Matt Wieters in the top of the ninth.

For the majority of the game, Orioles SP Kevin Gausman found himself in an old fashioned pitching duel against Angels SP Matt Shoemaker.

Both pitchers kept batters at bay with impressive play from the mound.  Neither pitcher gave up a run through 6 innings, but it was Gausman that would be the first to blink in the bottom of the seventh after a single by Angels 3B Yunel Escobar brought in a run. Kevin Gausman would finish the evening going 6 2/3 innings,  giving up 8 hits, striking out 6 and allowing 1 earned run.
