Mike Preston On Ravens: Paying Fines, Pitta And More Practice

Mike Preston of the Baltimore Sun is back on with Norris and Davis to comment on the Ravens being fined for the rookies wearing pads during the OTAs.

Preston wrote in his article, "Owner Steve Bisciotti can't be happy with his team having to pay a $343,057 fine for a portion of an illegal practice that allegedly lasted only five minutes."

Norris responded, "It's $350,000! And is that the key to winning the Super Bowl, putting your rookies in pads?"

Preston agreed. "What do you get out of it? I think with John Harbaugh was just trying to come in and turn up the tempo. he wants to set a different tone this year of getting more out of his players as far as practice every day over at the complex and this was part of it and he got caught," said Preston.

Mike also shares his thoughts on Pitta coming back to practice, "I think Harbaugh at first said, 'We're not going to put him out there,' but the more the Ravens watch him in practice and rehab, there's a comfort level there of saying that he can pull this off, he can actually do this. Still every time he went down yesterday, I was holding my breath and hoping he was going to get up. But, you wonder if in game situations will he go for it."

The guys talked about some of the other headaches the team is facing at the moment, i.e. the controversy surrounding Eugene Monroe. Well, Preston firmly believes his time with the Ravens is over.
