SANDY POINT, Md. (WJZ) — A 71-year-old man who went missing at Sandy Point State Park Tuesday has been found dead.

Officials say the man, who lived in a group home in southern Pennsylvania and was legally blind, wandered away from his group as they were packing up to leave. The man also had mental health issues.

Officials conducted a search that lasted all Tuesday night and Wednesday using officers, rangers, K-9 units, helicopters and divers.

He was found around 4 p.m. Wednesday. His cause of death is not yet known.
