Machado, Trumbo Lead Orioles All-Star Votes

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Orioles would have two starters in the All-Star Game if voting were to end today.

Third baseman Manny Machado and first baseman/outfielder Mark Trumbo are leading the ballots.

Trumbo is actually the leading overall with 641,594 votes received. That places him in third among outfielders, far behind Mike Trout and close behind Lorenzo Cain. The top three outfielders will become the starters.

Manny Machado, who leads the third basemen with 630,028 votes, is about 65,000 votes ahead of Kansas City's Mike Moustakas.

Some other Orioles appear among the top vote-getters in their positions are Jonathan Schoop, Chris Davis, J.J. Hardy and Matt Wieters.

Adam Jones, who has been an All-Star every year since 2012, currently sits in ninth place, trailing Trumbo by around 375,000 votes.
