BALTIMORE, Md. (WJZ) — More than 100 military children will get the chance to learn from one of football’s greatest when Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Steve Smith Sr. hosts a football camp at Fort Meade next week.

At least 150 children, grades first through eighth, from the community are set to take part in the two-day camp at the Fort Meade Cougars football field. The camp runs between 1 – 4 p.m. on June 20 and 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. June 21.

Smith is expected to talk to the youth about the importance of maintaining and active and healthy lifestyle, and he’ll also discuss his continuing support of the military community and what it means to him.

The camp has reached capacity so registration is closed.
