Orioles Fall To Blue Jays 13-3

Baltimore (WJZ) -- The Orioles pitching struggled mightily as the Toronto Blue Jays defeated Baltimore 13-3 on Friday night.

After a game in which we saw Tyler Wilson pitch 8 scoreless innings the night before, many thought that some of that magic would carry over to future games. That wasn't the case for Mike Wright as 8 earned runs in 3 and 2/3 innings of work.

It didn't take long for the Blue Jays to get things started as Michael Saunders started things off with a 3 run shot in the top of the 1st inning. Saunders would finish with 3 home runs on the night. The other two homers came against Ubaldo Jimenez who also struggled in relief as he gave up 5 earned runs in 2 and 1/3 innings of work.

The Orioles did manage to get on the scoreboard at certain points during the game. Manny Machado hit a RBI single in the bottom of the first. Trumbo followed in the 3rd with an RBI single of his own to put two on the board. Baltimore wouldn't score again until the 9th when Ryan Flaherty hit a homerun to deep right to give the Orioles their 3rd and final run of the game.
