Brantley, Nickens Set To Attend 2016 ESPYs

NEW YORK – University of Maryland men's basketball student-athletes Jaylen Brantley and Jared Nickens are set to attend the 2016 ESPYs on Wednesday, July 13 at the Microsoft Theater in Los Angeles, Calif.

The pair – who inspired the viral dance craze known as the Running Man Challenge – will travel to Los Angeles on Tuesday evening and participate in ESPY activities including walking the red carpet on Wednesday afternoon.

The show, which will air live on ESPN at 8 p.m., will be hosted by WWE star John Cena.

This is the Terps' second trip to West Coast, as the duo previously appeared on The Ellen Show in May.

An ESPY Award (short for Excellence in Sports Performance Yearly Award) is an accolade currently presented by the American broadcast television network ABC, and previously ESPN, to recognize individual and team athletic achievement and other sports-related performance during the calendar year preceding a given annual ceremony.
