WEATHER BLOG: Summer Over?

Summer looks to be over until next year. The first two days of fall didn't feel at all like fall, but it looks here to stay starting today. Friday hit 90 in Baltimore, but the cold front bringing an end to this warmth is moving through.

The cold front can clearly be seen on satellite with a band of clouds across much of Pennsylvania and across Jersey. Patchy low clouds are still hovering across southern New York and southern New England. These clouds will slowly shift southward through the morning hours. Therefore, the day will be mainly cloudy, but some peaks of sun may break out this afternoon with a cool north wind. Showers are also moving across parts of eastern Pennsylvania and northern Jersey along the front. High pressure will be in control for the remainder of the weekend and into Monday. Highs will be near or slightly below normal for this time of year with lows in the 40s in most outlying areas.
