Mike Preston covers the Ravens and writes a column for the Baltimore Sun Sports section.

Mike and the Monday Morning Quarterback crew grade the Ravens position by position in their 27-23 loss to the Giants.

Mike started by grading Joe Flacco’s day giving the QB a grade of D saying “Joe Flacco played a typical game for him in 2016. He had trouble converting on short to mid-range passes and at times was out of sync with his receivers.” Mike gave the offensive line a grade D, to be expected with starters out and the running backs received a grade of C+. The receivers picked up a grade of C with Mike saying “Mike Wallace and Breshad Perriman each went up to make catches, but they weren’t consistent throughout the game.”

When it came time to give out defensive grades Mike started with the defensive line giving them a grade of B saying “The Ravens held the Giants to 38 yards rushing on 17 carries, which shows how dominant they were up front.” The linebackers received a grade of B while the secondary picked up a D with Mike saying “There were times when the cornerbacks looked slow as the Giants blew by them, and the Ravens safeties looked slow as well. Worst game of the year for this group.”

Finally Mike gave the special teams group a grade of B and the coaching staff received a grade of C-.
