Mike Preston writes a column and covers the Ravens for the Baltimore Sun Sports section.

Mike joined the Monday Morning Quarterback show to give out his position by position grades to the Ravens in a loss to the Jets.

Mike started by giving his grade to Joe Flacco giving him a grade of D saying “Joe Flacco threw well early in the game and was in sync with receiver Mike Wallace…but Flacco looks timid and isn’t planting his back foot on most of his throws.” The offensive line received a grade of F from Mike while the running backs also received an F, the wide receivers got a grade of B- with Mike saying “Mike Wallace started off strong and finished with 10 catches for 120 yards, and Kamar Aiken showed that he can be successful in the slot.”

Mike then turned his attention to the defense giving the defensive line a grade of B and the linebackers a grade of C+ saying “Zachary Orr led all in tackles with 11 while Albert McClellan had seven…Matt Judon had two sacks, Za’Darius Smith also got some pressures.” And Mike gave the secondary a grade of C saying “the Ravens tried different combinations and turned in a solid effort in pass coverage…safeties Eric Weddle and Lardarius Webb were sloppy and late in making tackles.”

Finally Mike graded the special teams giving them a grade of B+, and the coaching staff received a grade of C-.
