Presidential Candidates Vie For Votes In Neighboring Pennsylvania
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Just days left in the race for the White House, the candidates are focusing on swing states.
While Maryland is not considered to be "in play," some of our neighboring states could be a deciding factor in who becomes the next president.
The presidential race is tightening in Maryland's northern neighbor Pennsylvania, and voters know their vote could be the difference.
As the clock ticks down, the candidates focus on must-win states.
The heat is on for voters in a handful of states that could play a pivotal role in choosing the next president.
Inside the Mason-Dixon Family Restaurant in Shrewsbury, Pennsylvania, diners eat lunch in the same place, but they're on different side of the aisle.
"I feel strongly that Hillary will win this," said Pennsylvania voter Norma Turk.
"Trump is he's for the working class people. The middle class," said Pennsylvania voter Joe Sacco.
For 24 months, Pennsylvania voters have been bombarded by political emails, flyers and commercials as candidates try to get the upper hand.
"I think the stress level is just too much for people. We get to the point where we just can't deal with it anymore," Gene Montanarelli, voter.
While winning the state is crucial on both sides, voters say there's only so much they can do.
"You don't have no choice. You've got a choice of two people to vote for and then theres' going to be an outcome," Eli Greer, voter.
Still when it's all over.
"I'm going to dance," said Norma Turk.
"We're going on vacation," said Joe Sacco.
Until the next political season has Pennsylvania in its sights once again.
Pennsylvania has 20 electoral votes up for grabs.
