DC Mayor to Host Conference Call on Trump Administration

WASHINGTON (AP) — District of Columbia Mayor Muriel Bowser is hosting a conference call open to all city residents to talk about what the incoming Trump administration will mean for Washington.

The Democratic mayor has said President-elect Donald Trump will have to work to mend relationships in a city where 93 percent of voters supported other candidates. She has also reaffirmed that Washington is a "sanctuary city" where police don't ask for people's immigration status or share that information with federal authorities. Registered Democrats outnumber Republicans by a 12-to-1 margin in the city.

The conference call on Saturday afternoon will include Bowser and community leaders and is free to anyone who wishes to join.
