139th White House Easter Egg Roll Offers Fun, Games To Kids

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- It's an event at the White House that brings out thousands of families for fun, colorful eggs, and a few games.

It's one of the White House's biggest events, with kids in mind, as families attend the 139th White House Easter Egg Roll. 21,000 people were expected to attend.

The first family joined their guests on the South Lawn, as President Donald Trump, along with First Lady Melania, colored with kids as part of some of the day's activities.

The day was filled with kids, games, and a lots of fun, and of course the highlight of the day, the egg roll.

"You get to hunt eggs anywhere, but to be able to do it here, in the home of our president, in our nation's Capitol," said parent Martin Gusky.

Many of the families travel from all parts Maryland, Virginia, and beyond, just to enjoy the day at the White House and with the first family.

"It was fun being able to give her that once in a lifetime experience of going on the white house lawn," said parent Anthony Brammer. "Seeing everybody there. Not everybody gets that opportunity, so to be able to give her that was pretty amazing."
