Here are my Top 5 favorite players regardless of round or position. I do this every year and I’ve actually been pretty successful with my picks. They are mostly skill position players but I throw in an occasional defensive player or lineman. Last year’s group was Jalen Ramsey, Ezekiel Elliott, Tyler Boyd, Kenneth Dixon, and Devontae Booker.

Here we go…

Derek Barnett – DE/OLB Tennessee

He is my favorite player in the draft. He is 6’3 and 260 lbs. In my opinion he has the best hands of any pass rusher in the draft. He gets off of blocks quick on his way to the quarterback. The Ravens would love to see him fall to 16, but I don’t think he will be there. Projected 1st round pick.

OJ Howard – TE Alabama

He is the best pass catcher in the draft and that’s including all of the wide receivers. I think he is best difference maker on offense. He is a phenomenal pass catcher and has the ability to adjust to bad balls. I don’t see blocking as a weakness for him, but he can get better in that department. Projected 1st round pick.

Alvin Kamara – RB Tennessee

My favorite running back in this class. Not saying he is more talented than the other guys, but I love the way he runs and there is a tremendous amount of value in getting a player like this in the 2nd round. He has had his issues fumbling and he needs to clean up that aspect of his game, but he can run you over or run by you. Projected 2nd round pick.

Malachi Dupree – WR LSU

I love this guy… I know teams don’t like certain aspects of his game. Some don’t like his explosiveness and others believe his route running needs work. All I know is this guy made big play after big play with horrible quarterback play at LSU. I absolutely love the way he attacks the ball in traffic. Projected 3-4 round pick.

Jamaal Williams – RB BYU

He has NFL size and I believe he can be a feature back at the next level. He doesn’t dance around, he is a north/south runner. Occasionally he pushes forward so much that he actually runs into his own blockers. At worst I think he can be a good goal line runner. Projected 4-5 round pick.
