When asked how he plans to get kids in the area, and to choose Coppin for their collegiate career, Juan said, “I’m going to be honest with the kids and tell my story, I was in their shoes not too long ago…my basketball pedigree and what I’ve experienced in life I can really help these kids and teach them the importance of higher education and prepare them for their dream.”

Juan also talked about what attracted him to Coppin State for the coaching job and how his life experiences will prepare his players for life on and off the court after college.
