High School Security Officer Facing Sex Charges Arrested Again By Police

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- A Maryland man working in high school security, is arrested for the second time after allegedly having sex with a 17-year-old student. But now, after he was released from jail, he broke his bond agreement by contacting the teen again.

Montgomery County Police arrested 57-year-old Mark Yantsos for allegedly having sex with a 17-year-old Richard Montgomery high school student. He part of the school security team.

Court documents reveal he had private and sexual encounters with the 17-year-old, even giving her money. After the investigation, he was arrested.

After being released on bail connected with those charges, Yantsos was ordered to stay away from the teen and wear a GPS tracking device.

Court documents allege Yantsos violated those terms by meeting the teen several more times.

"We're urging parents to have those conversations with their children. If they've had contact with the suspect, if they go to that school, have a very honest conversation with your child about what is appropriate behavior and urge that child to be honest with you," says Montgomery County Police.

Yantsos is a former New York City Police Department officer and has worked with Montgomery County Public Schools since 2007.
