Winter Storm Warning Goes Into Effect For Parts Of Maryland

BALTIMORE (WJZ)– Snow is falling in

The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Warning for parts of Maryland.

The alert says significant accumulation of wet snow is possible for the area with the potential of up to 7 inches of snow. The Advisory goes into effect Tuesday night and will run through Wednesday until 4 p.m.

The National Weather Service says 4 to 7 inches of accumulation is expected in Northern Maryland.

“As for how much we’re going to expect, that really depends on where you are,” WJZ’s Bob Turk said. “Northeastern Maryland, four to six inches, as we track west, two to three. Baltimore, one to two inches for us.”

A Coastal Flood Warning is also in effect along the Anne Arundel County shoreline until 4 a.m. Wednesday.
