1 Dead, 1 In Critical Condition After Shooting In Baltimore

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Police say one person is dead and another is in critical condition after a double shooting in Baltimore Thursday morning.

An officer was investigating another call near N. Regester and E. Lafayette Ave., when shots were fired. The officer then chased after a person seen running away from the scene.

The officer was able to take that person into custody.

Other officers found two people with gunshot wounds in the 1700 block of N. Regester. One victim, a 30-year-old man, was pronounced dead after being taken to a hospital, while the other victim, a 69-year-old man, was taken to a local hospital in critical condition.

Police have a couple persons of interest in custody in connection with this shooting.
