BALTIMORE (WJZ) — One person has died following a triple shooting near Penn-North in Baltimore.

The shots rang out at lunch hour near the intersection of Pennsylvania and North Avenues.

A police officer on patrol heard the shots and responded to the scene, where three men were found with gunshot wounds.

All were transported to the hospital, where one of the men died. He has only been identified as a 29-year-old man at this time.

It happened while a number of people were on the street:

“I ran to the window, and everybody was scattering, and I see a couple of people down on the ground,” said Anthony Green, who lives nearby. “And all of a sudden, police coming from everywhere, every direction, and a lot of us are ducking in the windows because we don’t know if it’s going to be more shots.”

The shooter and motive are not yet known, and police are asking for the public’s help:

People who live nearby say this kind of violence is not unusual.

“This is nothing new. This is an everyday thing,” Keith Bailey said. “Last Sunday, it was another thing on Fulton Ave. and North, a shooting there. Young man’s life was taken. Guns all around here now, you know, the city.”

This time, two survived, as another life was taken.

Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call Baltimore Police Department’s Homicide detectives at (410) 396-2100.

Those who wish to remain anonymous can utilize the Metro Crime Stoppers tip line, at 1-866-7LOCKUP.

  1. Brittany Lopez says:

    three men people?

  2. No one wants to go down into Baltimore’s crime ridden jungle and risk being shot up by the HOODRATS!! But we can all rest easy knowing the mayor has things under control with the squeegee kids… SMH at the TOTAL lack of leadership from the mayor!
