29-Year-Old Killed In Howard County Pedestrian Crash

HOWARD Co., Md. (WJZ) -- A 29-year-old man was struck and killed by a car shortly before 1 a.m. Monday morning. Police said Timothy Lewis was pronounced dead at the scene.

Troopers responded to I-95 South at Maryland Route 216 for the report of a body lying on the left shoulder. When they arrived they found the driver of the vehicle involved and witnesses to the crash still at the scene.

Police said Lewis was trying to cross from the right shoulder to the left when he was hit by a silver Volkswagen Jetta.

Charges are pending following the completion of an investigation.
