Officials Hold Groundbreaking For New, $40.5 Million Colgate Elementary School

DUNDALK, Md. (WJZ) -- It was an exciting day in Dundalk after the first step was taken to build a new Colgate Elementary School.

The principal of the school, along with Baltimore County Public Schools Interim Superintendent Verletta White and County Executive Johnny Olszewski attended the ceremony for the new $40.5 million building.

The new school replaces the building that was constructed in 1924. It's expected to be open to students for the 2020-21 school year.
