Taxpayers Will Cover $145K Bill For Government Tent At Preakness

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- The Preakness Stakes have come and gone, but Marylanders will be paying even if they didn't attend.

The state of Maryland spent $145,000 for a corporate tent for the event last month and taxpayers will foot the bill.

The tent was among a line of corporate tents at one end of the infield at Pimlico Race Course.

Governor Larry Hogan and other officials were among the tent's guests.
