BALTIMORE COUNTY, Md. (WJZ) — Baltimore County’s new police chief was sworn into her new role Monday.
Melissa Hyatt is the first female chief in Baltimore County history.
She’s a 20-year veteran of the Baltimore City Police Department and a graduate of the FBI National Academy.
