SALT LAKE CITY (WJZ) — Maryland Gov. Larry Hogan was officially elected the chairman of the National Governors Association Friday afternoon.

In his first act as chair, the governor launched a yearlong initiative to fix America’s infrastructure.

The governor’s office said Hogan will be the first Maryland governor to serve as chair since 2000.
