Animal Control Rescues Alligator In Frederick County

ADAMSTOWN, Md. (WJZ) — An alligator has been captured unharmed in Adamstown over the weekend.

The Carroll Manor Fire Company posted pictures of the three-foot gator captured in a cage trap on Facebook.

The alligator was captured Saturday in a retention pond on private property after animal control crews spent hours Thursday and Friday trying to capture it.

Officials said animal control will relocate it to a warmer, more suitable climate.
