REISTERSTOWN, Md. (WJZ) — A Franklin Middle School student was found with a lookalike weapon Friday, Baltimore County Schools confirms.
In a message sent to families, school officials said the student had a lookalike gun, which was confiscated.
The student could now face disciplinary action from the school as well as possible criminal charges.
“As a result of our investigation with Baltimore County Police, we do not believe the look-alike gun was intended to be used to harm or threaten anyone,” the message said.
There were extra police officers at the school Friday due to the incident, school officials said.
