BALTIMORE (WJZ) — An MDOT MTA building in Baltimore was evacuated Friday morning due to a suspicious package.

The evacuation happened around 10 a.m. at the facility at 1515 Washington Boulevard after a suspicious package was found in the mailroom, an MTA spokesperson said.

Police and hazardous materials crews responded and determined the package was not an explosive and was not hazardous.

The evacuation was lifted just after noon.
