Police Investigating After Man Struck, Killed In Elkridge
ELKRIDGE, Md. (WJZ) — Police are investigating a fatal collision involving a pedestrian in Howard County.
At around 5:46 p.m., a 2004 Toyota Sienna was driving southbound on Washington Boulevard just south of Montgomery Road when it struck a man in the roadway.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. He's been identified as 72-year-old Jackie Leroy Brown, of Elkridge.
The driver of the Toyota, Anthony Wayne Hammond, also of Elkridge, remained at the scene. He was not injured.
There are currently minor lane closures that are not impacting traffic, police said.
Police are investigating to determine the circumstances that led to the collision. The investigation is ongoing.
