Jeremy Kalan Hill Charged In Alleged Road Rage Stabbing In Catonsville

CATONSVILLE, Md. (WJZ) -- Police in Baltimore County charged a 20-year-old man in an alleged road rage incident that led to a stabbing.

Jeremy Kalan Hill, of Baltimore, was charged in the Catonsville stabbing.

According to police, the road rage stabbing occurred just after 2 p.m. at the intersection of Coleridge Road and Channing Road.

Police said Hill was aggressively driving when he got involved in an incident with another driver. The driver confronted Hill at a stoplight. Hill tried to flee the confrontation, by hitting the door of the other driver's vehicle.

The victim then followed Hill and tried to confront him again at Parallel Drive and Ingleside Avenue. It was during that confrontation that Hill allegedly pulled out a knife and stabbed the victim multiple times in the upper body.

The victim suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is being treated for those wounds.

The passenger in the victim's vehicle took pictures of the suspect's license plate. Police used those photos to track down Hill.

Police watched Hill as he allegedly attempted to remove the license plates. Before he was able to leave, he was arrested.

"If you are involved in a road rage incident it is best not to confront the other driver, let them go, let them pass by and if you feel unsafe, drive to a police station or a well-lit public area," said Baltimore County Police spokesperson Jennifer Peach.

Alfred Bond said he lives next door to the victim's family. He called the victim a "family man."

"I can't believe an individual would stab somebody that many times," Bond said. "There's got to be a lot of hate to do that for a little traffic accident."

Others who live and work in the area said they're shocked that road rage escalated into a violent attack.

"We have altercations with other drivers all the time, they will flip you the bird or say what they want out the window, but a stabbing?" said Shannon Turner, who lives down the street from where the altercation occurred.

Police said the victim knew Hill lived in the area but didn't know him personally.
