Baltimore's Pigtown Community Celebrates National Pig Day
BALTIMORE (WJZ) — Kids had the chance of a lifetime in Pigtown on Sunday- to play with pigs!
It was all part of National Pig Day and Pigtown Main Street celebrated the inaugural event.
For two hours, kids played with pigs from Whispering Rise Farm and Animal Sanctuary. Their mission helped the farm but also gave humane education to the public.
National Pig Day started in 1972 and they're considered to be one of the smartest and most important species.
