LOTHIAN, Md. (WJZ) — A Confederate statue was vandalized overnight outside an Anne Arundel County church.

According to county police, the statue outside the Mt. Calvary Methodist Church at 812 Mount Zion Marlboro Road in Lothian was pulled from its concrete perch and sprayed with red spray paint.

The statue was seen undamaged around 11 p.m. on July 2.
