Safeway Shoppers Raise More Than $454K For Great American Milk Drive
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Local Safeway stores have raised more than $454,000 as part of Feeding America's Great American Milk Drive.
Shoppers more than doubled their donations compared to last year, raising a total of $454,018.
The money means more than 123,000 gallons of milk will be donated to families in need.
Milk is one of the most requested but least donated items at food banks.
