Ocean City, Maryland Fire Department Unveils New Fireboat

OCEAN CITY, Md. (WJZ) -- The Ocean City, Maryland Fire Department says water rescues just became easier with a new fireboat.

The department unveiled its 26-foot sea arch, which is equipped to handle rescues in shallow water, sandbar areas and more.

The department says it can carry anything an ambulance can.

Firefighters say it's a perfect time, due to the uptick in boat traffic this year.
