Howard County Awarded Over $1M To Help Survivors Of Human Trafficking

ELLICOTT CITY, Md. (WJZ) -- More than $1 million in federal money is coming to Howard County to help survivors of human trafficking, and help prevent the crime.

The money is coming from the National Crime Victims Fund, which supports victims right after, and as they work to rebuild their lives.

It will also help train county employees and build awareness campaigns across the area.
