Baltimore City Council Considering Capping Food Delivery App Fees

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Baltimore City Council is considering putting a cap on fees charged by popular food delivery apps.

Apps like DoorDash and Grubhub take commissions from the restaurants. Those commissions can be as high as 30 percent of the total cost of orders.

Under a proposed bill, apps would not be allowed to collect more than 15 percent in fees.

This comes as all in-person dinning was banned in Baltimore City.
