COLUMBIA, Md. (WJZ) — BGE is being fined more than $400,000 for the gas explosion that destroyed a Columbia shopping center.
The blast happened early on a Sunday morning in August 2019.

Besides the fine, BGE also needs to upgrade its gas lines to more than 1,200 buildings to prevent anything like this from happening again.
