Safety Boxes Being Deployed On Trails In Harford County

BEL AIR, Md. (WJZ) -- Harford County has installed lifesaving equipment along several county trails.

It's for the public to use in case of emergency. The bright yellow boxes each contain an automated defibrillator and a Stop the Bleed Kit.

They are in place at the Ma & Pa Trail, the Schucks Regional Park, Mariner Point Park and Friends Park.

To get access to the boxes, someone must first dial 911 to get a code to open them.
