BWI Airport Adds Facial Biometrics Security Feature At Customs Checkpoint
BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- There are some new changes to expect at customs next time you travel through BWI Airport.
The airport installed Simplified Arrival, which uses facial biometrics for a faster and touchless checkpoint.
When you arrive from overseas, you will pause for a photo at the primary inspection point. The photograph is then compared to your passport or visa photo.
U.S. Customs and Border Protection says this provides a safer travel experience while protecting people's privacy.
