Man Pleads Guilty In Connection With 2017 Fire At Coconut Charlie's

PASADENA, Md. (WJZ) -- A Pasadena man pleaded guilty Tuesday in connection with the fire at the Coconut Charlie's bar back in July 2017.

Jamie Clemons, 36, set the bar on fire in an attempt to destroy its surveillance cameras which captured an assault on his girlfriend the week before, according to court documents.

The fire caused $500,000 in damage, forcing it to close permanently.

Clemons faces up to 20 years in prison.
