PARKVILLE, Md. (WJZ) — A Baltimore County police officer who died in the line of duty is being honored.

A memorial garden was unveiled Sunday outside the Parkville precinct. It features a plaque paying tribute to Officer Amy Caprio, who was struck and killed in May 2018 while responding to a call for a suspicious vehicle.

The project has been envisioned for several years but local Boy Scout Owen Mrok decided to spearhead its creation as his Eagle Scout service project.
