Maryland Weather: Gloomy & Wet Friday The 13th

BALTIMORE (WJZ) -- Clouds and drizzle are in full force on this Friday the 13th.

Unfortunately, this gloomy and wet weather is here to stay through the weekend.

Morning temperatures were in the 60s and we won't budge much higher than the low 70s by the weekend.

Our chances for scattered showers and even a couple of thunderstorms increase by late in the afternoon.

Saturday and Sunday mirror that timing for rain.

Drizzle and a few spotty showers are possible before 2 p.m. each day, but our best bet for wet weather is in the late afternoon through the late night hours.

There will also be the potential for fog each night into the mid-morning hours.

Temperatures take a big step up on the weekend.

Mid 70s are in store for Saturday with highs hitting 80° on Sunday.

So far, there doesn't look like enough instability for severe storms, but we certainly could see some strong winds in the storms that pop up.

We keep the chance for rain going through Monday, finally drying out by Tuesday.

We then have a few days of dry weather and sunshine in store.
