The Ports America Chesapeake Fourth of July Celebration runs from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Inner Harbor Amphitheater. The event includes music provided by the U.S. Naval Academy band Electric Brigade, whose repertoire includes Top 40 selections. At 9:30 p.m., the fireworks take to the sky. The 18-minute show by Pyrotecnico is set to music and will be launched from two barges in the harbor. The Harbor East neighborhood is an excellent place to catch a glimpse of the show. The fireworks display can also be seen from Fells Point and Federal Hill.

The celebration begins at 6:30 p.m., with the parade that starts at Amos Garrett Boulevard and ends at the City Dock. At 8 p.m., the U.S. Naval Academy Band will provide a musical interlude at the Susan Campbell Park. Fireworks at the Annapolis Harbor begin at 9:15 p.m.
