The Baltimore Mayor's Annual Christmas Parade takes place every December and is a festive treat for Charm City. Sponsored by the communities and businesses of North Baltimore's Hampden and Medfield neighborhoods, the parade spans 2.5 miles through Baltimore. The parade attracts 25,000 people who crowd the streets. The parade usually features over 150 marching units, and the main attraction, Santa Claus. With Harley Davidson motorcycles, floats, the Baltimore Marching Ravens, and the Boumi Temple performers, the Baltimore Mayor's Annual Christmas Parade always yields holiday cheer.

Before he takes flight on Christmas Eve, Santa arrives to the area to collect Christmas lists via helicopter. Welcome Santa in December at the historic College Park Airport. Santa makes a grand entrance at the airport's landing pad and is ready to meet the nice boys and girls. Children can get their picture taken with Santa and can take part in holiday arts and crafts at the College Park Aviation Museum. While his reindeer get their rest for the "big night," Santa takes flight thanks to College Park's Aviation Museum.

Every Friday and Saturday of the holiday season, the Dancing Bear Toys and Gifts of Frederick, Md. opens their Holiday Market for Kids. Young shoppers can shop for family, teachers and friends at this "secret" store. Kids will have fun with the freedom to shop on their own. Dancing Bear Toys and Gifts is an independent specialty toy store with fun items and games not found in major retail stores. Gift items in the Holiday Market are $10 and under and the selections are exclusively Fair Trade with a portion of proceeds directed to the Frederick Arts Council.
