Fish Tacos are a beach and summertime favorite dish. Whether you like them beer batter and fried, blackened or grilled, there are plenty of options available. Trotilleria Sinaloa offers patrons a casual, no frills atmosphere with great food. Their straightforward approach to quality has earned them several local awards including “best Mexican food” and “best tacos,” so you know your guaranteed a great meal. The menu offers a variety of tacos ranging from steak, chicken, vegan, BBQ, pork, beef tongue, and sausage. However, the specialty Tilapia Taco with Old Bay butter sauce will please just about anyone! If you want something more than a taco try the tamales that come chicken, pork or vegan.

Taco Fiesta offers a variety of tacos, burritos, taquitos and more. The fish taco comes Baja California style, and is a Pacifico beer battered fresh water tilapia, filleted then topped with a fish sauce, Jack cheese, cabbage and tomato. You can get a taco platter that comes with a choice of two tacos with rice, refried pinto beads or vegetarian black beans, lettuce, guacamole and sour cream (note that it’s an increased charge for the fish or shrimp tacos).

Tacos aren’t the main choice on the menu at Barracudas, which offers a variety of sandwiches, pizzas, salads and other entrées, but the fish taco is worth going for. It comes served in a warm grilled soft shell and then stuffed with crispy fish, a ginger slaw and barracuda rice. Try some of the Barracuda Punch to accompany your fish taco.

Holy Frijoles is located in Hampden on 36th Street. On the menu here you will find a variety of Mexican-inspired favorites like nachos, fajitas, enchiladas, tacos and burritos. Here the fish tacos offer something a bit different in their choice to use Cod rather than Tilapia. The Cod is beer batters and fried then served on a flour tortilla shell topped with fresh cabbage, an adobe cream sauce and lime. You can order them al carte or as a platter with two fish tacos, plus a side of black beans and corn.

Little Havana

Located right on the water on Key Highway, Little Havana even has a water taxi stop. The restaurant remains a Baltimore stalwart after opening 18 years ago, speaking to the quality and deliciousness of their offerings. The menu here offers a variety of delicious dishes like a traditional Cubano sandwich, burgers fish sandwich, crab cakes and more. The fish tacos come with three corn tortillas with blackened Mahi, a cabbage cilantro slaw and a house-made fish sauce plus black beans and rice. Pair your tacos with a mojito or margarita!
