The Charles Theater is a beautiful historic theater located less than two blocks north of Penn Station. With a rich history, including use as a cable car facility, library for the blind, the Famous Ballroom and more than 75 years as a movie theater, The Charles Theater is the only theater of its kind in Baltimore. Now the Charles offers five screening rooms, showing a mixture of independent films, old Hollywood features and well-loved anime films. In the spring of 2016, The Charles Theater will offer a special series called “Cinema Sundays.” For four remaining weeks, through June 26, the theater will offer a special deal involving a continental breakfast, a film showing and a Q & A session, all for the price of $16.
