For the eighth year in a row, the Nevermore Ball will ring in the New Year with the most unique and atmospheric party in Maryland, all themed after legendary Baltimore resident and Gothic poet Edgar Allen Poe. This authentic Renaissance-styled masquerade features a Gothic ballroom filled with glamorous masked strangers enjoying the last night of the year in style.
Your cover charge (around $100, subject to change as the event approaches) includes the open bar, multiple buffets, midnight toast with champagne and party favors. The VIP upgrade (around $30 extra) includes an all-access area and upgraded food and bar. The event includes bands, DJs, comedians and various extravagant performances, and brags Baltimore's largest midnight balloon drop! If you're looking for something a bit mysterious this New Years, Nevermore might just be for you.
Every year, the great city of Baltimore celebrates the dawning of a new year with an explosion of fireworks over the Inner Harbor that is impressive, even by New York standards. And every year, Spirit Cruises throws a party out on the bay right where the viewing is best — where the bursts of colors are mirrored on the waters and the boom of sound echoes from the open bay.
Guests who take advantage of Spirit Cruises "New Years Eve Fireworks Dinner Cruise" don't just get the pleasure of the best seat in the house, however. For $169.90 per head, guests enjoy a full dinner, rooftop deck, DJ, dancing, open bar and midnight champagne toast. Guest can upgrade their package to include extra features such as a guaranteed window table, their own full bottle of champagne per couple, a keepsake champagne flute, a half-dozen roses and a boarding photo package.
The Soundstage in Baltimore is a well-known concert venue with a long history for touring groups, many of whom make their name right in the humble Charm City. This New Year, Soundstage, along with the Union Craft Brewing company, will be hosting a night of blowout concerts featuring no fewer than four sets! The bands include Chris Jacobs and Friends, who will be performing two sets, Bawdy Shop Burlesque and Brooks Long & The Mad Dog No Good. The night will be catered with a full food truck court featuring The Green Bowl, Gypsy Queen and Kommie Pig.
Because the event is being hosted by Union Craft, you best believe they will keep their brand ale flowing with an open bar, and at midnight, you will get your choice of a champagne or Union Craft toast — free. Tickets range in price, starting at $27.50 for general admission.
A mention of New Year's Eve in Baltimore could not be made without referencing the most well-known and well-attended party: The Baltimore New Year's Eve Spectacular, hosted by Ports America Chesapeake! The fun kicks off at 9 p.m. when the music starts up, played by local band What's Next (voted "best band in Baltimore" for the last three years by Baltimore Magazine). When the band exits the stage close to midnight, Baltimore's own mayor will enter and host the countdown to the new year. At midnight, a firework show will begin that will set a high bar for any other fireworks displays in 2016. The best part about this party? It's entirely free! Come as you are, take part in whatever you like in the Inner Harbor as the festivities ensue, but you don't have to spend a dime to enjoy the night that the great city of B-More has laid out for your enjoyment.
Dress on up in your best suit and prepare to wear your sunglasses at night at City Garage's New Year's Eve Shades and Suits Party. The party rocks an old school vibe, handing out free sunglasses to all who attend, opening a dance floor all night long — accompanied by a brass band — and then offering entertainment which includes free arcade games and skeeball tournaments. If this sounds like your kind of funky party, you better jump in the mix soon, though. Tickets are limited — and costs are $139 per head.
