This antique shop is also a fantastic destination if you happen to be looking for something from a specific era, as Charlotte Elliott will all but certainly have what you are looking for.

The store is decorated with a unique collection of sideshow-like pieces that are not available for sale, but are certainly fun conversation starters, such as the 12 foot tall two-headed mummy. The owner of The Antique Man is clearly passionate about Baltimore and its rich history, and he carries many items that represent the story of the city. The prices are reasonable and they are even willing to bargain. The Antique Man is a must see shop with a distinct personality.

Avenue Antiques is possibly the most popular of the Hampden area antique shops. Located on the famed "Avenue" on 36th Street, this store is three levels of everything from standing pianos to satin gloves and vintage ball gowns. There is always a wide variety of antique jewelry, accessories and clothing at reasonable prices. The setup is slightly different than what you would expect in many antique stores. The setting consists of different stalls, each run by its own vendor. The downside to this is that the pricing of items can be inconsistent, however it makes the selection of items diverse and interesting.
