Great'ER Pumpkin blends aromas of bourbon, cinnamon, ginger, allspice and clove into the orange mix. The beer is bourbon-barrel aged with notes of oak, vanilla and bourbon. The Helmand opened its doors to Baltimore in 1989 and has been integral in introducing Afghan cuisine to the city. Named after the owner's son and the famed Helmand River, the restaurant serves pumpkin year round. Sourced from a local farm, Fig Leaf Farms, Helmand creates a dish called kaddo borwani with its pumpkins. The pan-fried baby pumpkin is seasoned with sugar and served with a yogurt garlic sauce. It also sells a pumpkin roll, rolled with a delicious cream cheese filling. Customers can stop by the farm for the pumpkin treats and also enjoy freshly pressed apple cider, farm-fresh turkeys and a variety of fruits and vegetables.
