Along with pretty leaves, cooler weather, and the premiere of all my favorite shows, fall ushers in sweater season! Finding a sweater that’s the right length, fabric and style can be difficult. Many fall fashion forecasts suggest looks you might have to take out a loan to afford. Luckily, I’ve rounded up four great sweater looks, all under $100.

Our old friend is back, the good ‘ole cowl neck sweater. Calvin Klein, Gucci, everybody is sending this look down the runway. Every designer seems to have their own version of it, giving people of every wallet-size the opportunity to rock this look. This version is from Victoria’s Secret for $39.50.

You can be single and have tons of these. The boyfriend/oversize sweater is a must-have this fall. Wear it with slacks, jeans or a charming skirt and you’ll have an instant look of sophistication. If you still want to define your waist, add a skinny belt! You can get a version of the boyfriend sweater nearly anywhere but here’s a really nice one by DKNYC, sold at Bloomingdales for $29.70.

These aren’t your grandma’s sweaters. Cable knit sweaters are the trend that won’t die. It seems like this look has always been a chic and preppy choice and designers have continued to cater to the demand. The chunky texture will keep you warm through the winter. Throw on over leggings or skinny jeans for a weekend look, or add a rocker edge with heeled boots and layered necklaces. This metallic knit adds a bit of flair to an age-old style, and is available at Zara for $19.99.

Fur is still the best way to say fierce. Many designers have felt the pressure of animal rights groups and have decided to use faux for their pieces. Even though the fur is counterfeit, the huge statement you’ll be making will leave admirers none the wiser. This casual spin on fur is by Myne and can be found at Bloomingdales or Nordstrom for right around $100.
