Dear Fine Citizens of Baltimore,
In case you haven’t noticed the month of August is upon us- meaning there is only one official month of summer left.
We know; it’s a shocking and sad realization.
We sincerely hope you’ve been making the most of the summer but if you’ve just been sitting on your couch trying to beat the stifling heat instead of having fun, then it’s time to get up, get out and make the most of what you have left, and there’s no better place to do that than Clavel.
More: E.S.P. Eat. See. Play. Baltimore
Clavel is the latest, and maybe the only, family run mezcaleria and taqueria to come to Baltimore, making it the perfect place for you to live up the rest of the summer. Yes, you read that correctly- the gods have answered your prayers by giving you a single place for you to fill all of your taco and mezcal needs.
More: Eat In Harmony
Seriously though, this place is completely unlike any other around. They completely hand make all of their tortillas, the meat is slow-cooked using traditional Mexican methods and the heart of the bar is artisanal mescal. So yeah, we’re basically telling you that you can come here, get one of the fantastic Tacos de la Tierra and get white girl wasted on the mescal based drinks like the Santa Sandia and Morenita. Yup, pretty much sounds like how we want to spend the rest of our summer.
So instead of sitting on your couch for the rest of the summer watching it pass you by, get up and get yourself over to Clavel for a night of tacos and mezcal; but don’t worry- if you want to stay home and waste the summer away (loser), Clavel will still be here come fall.
